The Sherwood Forest Golf Club is a great place to learn the game of golf. You'll get all your questions answered by our friendly staff while developing skills for driving, improving your short game, putting and learning proper course etiquette.

Sherwood Assistant Golf Profiessional Richard Whitworth can offer golfers of all skill levels lessons from a new player, or to "tune-up" the game of a player who hasn't picked up their clubs in a while.

In the summer, Junior Clinics are offered for the younger golfer, and all ages are welcome.

We also offer "Demo Days" where major golf company representatives will stop at Sherwood to let you try out their new product lines.

A round at the Sherwood Forest Golf Club will challenge your game while offering every golfer a refreshing stroll through a very picturesque corner of the San Joaquin Valley.

A good example of what a day of golf at Sherwood is like can be found quickly on hole #1, a scenic par four with the foothills as your backdrop. Favor the right side of the fairway off the tee to avoid bunkers lining the left side of the hole.

On the back side, the long, difficult par four hole #12 should receive your full attention! A solid tee shot over the river is a must to reach the green in regulation. Leaving the ball below the hole is preferable to manage this back to front sloping green.

The short par four hole #18 is a great finishing hole. An iron or fairway wood off the tee may be a smart play to avoid the lake short of the green. If played properly, this hole allows you to finish your round with a birdie.
